Well, I was born Curitiba and since then always lived there, until January when I decided to come to Spain. I love my city and I really want to spark an interest in people to go visit the city.
Curitiba is the capital of Paraná, in the south of Brazil, is the most sustainable city in Latin America and is the greenest, cleanest and the most developed city in Brazil. We have a green area of 51 square meters per inhabitant and there are more than 25 parks and forest. The public transport is very effective and there are many bike paths throughout the city.
Curitiba is known as the Brazilian Russia because of the nightlife and similar with Europe because of the cold. The best part to live in Curitiba is that we have all the seasons in the same day, and doesn’t matter how the weather is, we always have something to do. There are a lot of cultural diversity, activities for all kinds of people in terms of music, culture, sports, pubs, concerts, etc.
Every year we have a lot of attractions in some events that the prefecture organize, there are concerts for free in the squares around the city. We have also courses and workshops, visual arts, movies, dance, literature, music, cultural heritage, theatre and circus organized by the Cultural Foundation of Curitiba (Fundação Cultural de Curitiba).
The facebook from the City Hall is known throughout the country for his jokes and the communication style of the page and in the webpage you can find many kinds of useful information, if you are planning to go there.
The tourism is wonderful! Since big shopping’s center, until parks, squares, nature and tranquility.
It is located 100 km from the coast, which makes it easier when you want to change the environment and the air. With the tour bus you can visit all the touristic points in the same day, go to the fairs, have a drink in the historical center, and to train touring the mountain of the sea.
