“In 2011 I dropped everything I was doing and decided that I wanted to spend some time abroad. Then I met a family in Washington DC, I made my visa, packed my thing and in less than a month was living a dream. My experience was amazing, learning to live without my parents, missing my sister and my dogs, I had to cook, wash clothes and do many things I had never done before but all this only helped me to grow, and the freedom of living alone is priceless. DC is a wonderful city, has beautiful monuments, awesome museums and every corner surprise us with its beauty. I returned there earlier this year, and the city surprised me again, all white and cold because of the snow. I can say it was amazing to see again that city that I love so much.”
